Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Abric is of average height and has an athletic build. He’s quite proud of his muscular arms and torso.

2. How old is he?

Mid to late thirties. He was 35 at the start of his class story.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

He doesn’t give a damn about posture. He will move however he is comfortable. Lots of leaning casually on walls and objects.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

He is extremely fit and proud of it. While he has been slowed somewhat by the carbonite poisoning and lightsaber wound as of KOTFE, he doesn’t let it get to him (and refuses to acknowledge the Force ghost sharing his brain at the time for his role in his recovery and continued health).

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Bold and assertive, lots of self-confidence.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?

He’s decently handsome, but definitely not as good looking as he thinks he is. He’s pretty vain. A good part of that is just for fun, though, he won’t necessarily be hurt if someone thinks he doesn’t look good.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

His skin tone is light red, and his face is starting to show signs of age - is he jealous of his husband still managing to pass for a young twenty-something despite being older than him? A little. His skin isn’t as good as Natirru’s. Still, he’s not a wrinkled old man yet! (And he maintains that he’ll be the handsomest wrinkled old man when he is one, of course)

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.

Twi’leks have no hair! What he has instead are a pair of appendages called lekku. These have natural wavy markings in bands width-wise down the entirety of his lekku. Kind of a loose spiral, maybe?

9. What color are his eyes?

Deep blue, nearly purple

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

As of Alliance content, a lightsaber wound scar in his stomach. It has a matching exit wound on his back. He doesn’t seem to have suffered loss of function though! Otherwise, several minor scrapes at any one moment, small scars, assorted after effects of battle.

11. What are his chief tension centers?

Who knows

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?

All of his clothes except the ones he wears in cold climates are revealing in some way, depending on what he wants to show off. He has a jacket he wears over nothing else to show off his torso, and if he feels like showing off his arms, he has a vest...that is also cropped to create a navel window so his abs are still on display, just a little. Pretty much everything he owns is some variation of that. Planets like Hoth and Ilum force him to put some actual clothes on. He favors blue, though he has at least one outfit that’s entirely black and white.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?

They’re definitely comfortable, he wouldn’t wear them otherwise - as much as he cares about his appearance, he would never sacrifice comfort for style.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

He absolutely wears the same clothes to anything. Even his “formal” outfit is casual enough to step out in and comfortable and durable enough to battle in.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Honestly, whatever he feels like wearing. Those standard-issue character model trunks are most cost-effective and comfortable, probably.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Kind of on the high end, a little hoarseness.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?

Casual and confident is a way to describe Abric’s manner of speech. He never sounds like he’s taking anything seriously. When things are getting really serious, you’ll know. He’ll acknowledge it.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Republic (or non-imperial at least) accent, can’t really think of anything else.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?

He’s fluent in Basic and Ryl, and knows enough Huttese to carry on a basic conversation, though he prefers to respond to Huttese in Basic. Most Huttese-speakers know Basic well enough this is possible.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

He generally only speaks Basic unless asked not to or he needs to have a conversation in another language for secrecy’s sake.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?

Most of his speaking is impromptu. As to whether or not he’s good at it...

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

He can make a speech if pressed, but really? Especially if the subject is someone else’s (or his own) emotion, he’s putting his foot in his mouth half the time.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?

He’s got some book smarts but really, he’s definitely more street smart. He’s a lot smarter overall than he appears, and if he focuses his full attention on something, he can catch a surprising amount of detail. A shame he almost never puts forth that much effort.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?

Deliberate? He doesn’t do much of that until his work at the head of the Alliance forces him to.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Exceedingly intuitive. Abric follows his gut almost the the exclusion of all else. It’s landed him in trouble a few times, and spurred the event that began Flow’s downward spiral in earnest, which is what caused him to start hesitating and using his head more often. He still acts impulsively a lot, but is more considerate of when it might hurt his friends.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

Formally, public education on Alderaan. Informally, he stole a junky old stealth generator from House Rist and impressed the bounty hunter who had rescued his family - which had been the idea, as he looked up to this mercenary. This was the start of his combat “education” - no formal drills or classes, just taking bits and pieces of what he liked and combining them in ways that felt right. The only time he could be bothered to sit down and read something informative at that age (13...the kid was trouble, okay?) was when he did research into how to fix said junky old stealth generator and learned how to scavenge items of use from what looked like junk, and how to most easily and affordably find what couldn’t be salvaged. As a minor, this took the form of running odd jobs for credits, but as he grew older he pursued his ill-thought career into the underworld. Finding it to be less glamorous than the holovids made it out to be dampened his youthful idealism, and he considered himself a cynic, a pragmatist, for a long time. Truth was, he’d just learned some healthy wariness - put under pressure, he’s more idealistic than he would have given himself credit for.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?

Well, smuggling, of course. So dealing with underworld types and navigating dubiously legal courses of trade. He’s also pretty good at appraising apparent “junk” and getting something useful or valuable out of it. He didn’t think he needed to learn about much more but he’s taken to leadership fairly well, so he’s started researching tactics and the like, but gets bored easily while doing so. He prefers hands-on learning.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?

Absolutely an extrovert.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Abric is the sort to get uncomfortable when the air is too serious. Which isn’t to say he’s lazy, exactly, in fact he can work pretty hard when he needs to. But he likes to try to keep things upbeat and moving forward, so he’ll often crack jokes at times that seem inappropriate, or change subjects abruptly if he sees someone looking like they’re feeling left out or even butt into conversations to break up building arguments. He’s very much a morale focused leader, though he didn’t intend to be.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

Same as usual - outwardly cheerful and enthusiastic, happy to meet new people, but keeping an eye out for shady business, depending on their demeanor and who they are.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?

Act. Abric is all about taking the initiative when he can.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?

Again, in stark contrast to everyone else in the legacy...fight.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Snark, snark, and snark, with a side of snark. Dad jokes optional. But in general he can’t say no to humor if it keeps the people around him in high spirits. He likes a happy room.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?

I don’t know, neither does he, and he doesn’t want to find out, thanks.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

-Being rescued as a child by a bounty hunter who decided they’d rather not live with the guilt of letting an escape pod full of children be captured by Imperials. -Meeting Natirru and realizing there is someone he would want to spend the rest of his life with and the idea of marriage wasn’t quite so bad as his childhood holovids made it out to be.
-Finding out things said holovids were painting as good...weren’t.
-Befriending Flow
-Learning Natirru was a spy all along
-Reconciling over the course of a year and a half (give or take) while class story chaos is going on
-Becoming Alliance Commander, and finally gaining the means to shelter his loved ones.

14. What does he fear?

Alienating the people he loves, or otherwise letting them down. Being a failure in general

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?

Honestly, he didn’t really have any. He was just looking for adventure until he found himself in command of the Alliance. Now he wants to make it into the sanctuary, the safe place that his loved ones need once its primary purpose is dealt with.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?

At one point, he thought of himself as overly sentimental and hid that. Now that he’s working to unlearn some harmful ideals he’d internalized as a child, he’s not sure what he should be hiding

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.

He hardly remembers his parents. He’d last seen them when he was seven or so, and has forgotten all memories prior to that age. Last he knew, they were captured by zealous imperial slavers and they’ve probably been worked to death by now.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Four younger siblings, who looked up to him as the brave, adventurous one and followed him around up until he started getting into dangerous territory. They wisely backed out and have quietly disapproved of his lifestyle ever since. He lost contact with them in the chaos of the reignited war and worries for them and the rest of his family, but is reluctant to show or voice that worry for reasons that are, admittedly, nonsense.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?

His aunt was the one who actually raised him...and nearly his entire extended family within that generation. She’d been the one to usher the children into an escape pod when the slavers attacked, and didn’t expect to be the only adult left of the clan. So Abric grew up with not only his blood siblings, but also several cousins and second cousins who were like siblings. His feelings on them, as you can imagine, run the gamut.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?

Well, you see, if Oberon is like Natirru’s son and he and Natirru are engaged, then Oberon is kind of a stepson? And if Oberon wants to marry Flow, then Flow is a son-in-law? That’s how it works, right?

Except no, not really. Mostly he just jokes about that. His crew is like a family to him, but he also wouldn’t call them that, even if they call him that. It’s complicated.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

His best friend is Flow Volere, a young Jedi he met in the course of stopping a pair of muggers. He doesn’t really know how to show his affection, but Flow seems to understand this. Flow is the reason Abric has changed so greatly over the course of his story, because of his missteps in trying to help him - and sometimes accidentally hurting him. He has caused him to stop and reflect on himself, or at least try to.

6. Does he have other close friends?

-His entire crew, honestly. He thought he preferred his ship empty or mostly empty and then when it was he missed them dearly.

-Obligatory shout-out to PC inquisitor Valentine Noir, of course. Abric isn’t as close to him as the others are, but he respects him for being a better friend to them all than he was, in his view.

-This doesn’t go here but it has to go somewhere and he really wants to make Lana laugh again. He managed it once and now he’s on a mission to make her and Theron lighten up.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?

He’s pretty easy to make friends with! He’s outgoing and optimistic and isn’t above making fun of himself - or anything, really. It may take some work to be a really close friend, but it’s easy to make him like you.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?

Friends - not that he doesn’t like his family, it’s just that he was never as close to them as he was to any of his friends.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?

For a long time he thought marriage was a bad idea, that it would hamper any lifestyle he chose. And then he met Natirru. Their marriage, sadly, was part of Natirru’s current deep cover mission. While it certainly hadn’t been planned, and while his love was real, it couldn’t last. For a long time, Abric was bitter and resentful, but when that resentment drove him to actions that harmed Flow, and to very nearly kill Natirru, he began to reconsider. They reconciled as the war reignited in earnest, and married again once the Eternal Alliance established a foothold.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

Natirru is technically not his husband for most of the story, but I don’t think that counts. He had a thing with crewmate Risha for a while, but that was more a long-term series of miscommunications than anything - she was looking for something serious, but wasn’t saying so; he wasn’t, but wasn’t saying so...they’re honestly both lucky it turned out as well as it did.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?

His first crush was on a fictional spacer hero. His first crush on a /real/ person was some other kid who turned out to be a noble’s brat - he learned pretty quickly how Alderaan’s society worked. His latest crush...he doesn’t really recognize initial attractions as “crushing” anymore. He feels that word has too much of an emotional component to it when the only person he’s had truly romantic feelings for in a long time is Natirru. The others along the way? Just physical attraction, and just for fun.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?

He doesn’t really have this consciously defined. Like most things, he improvises attraction, too - if they click, they click. If not, oh well.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

Possibly, but if he does they’ve been kept secret from him. He considers Natirru’s “adopted strays” kind of like having kids, but honestly wouldn’t want to raise one from infancy. He and Natirru discussed it briefly in their prior marriage and came to the conclusion they didn’t want to be parents - he’s stuck by that even though he’s found himself in something of a mentor role to some...

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?

Standard bit about the Sith Emperor goes here. Honestly he hadn’t had much of an issue with the guy either way, until he severely compromised Flow’s mental health. Getting stuck with him in his head was just another straw in the shit bundle.

Other than that, he’s made peace with most of the ones he’s picked up along the way, if they’re still alive.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?

Middle of the road bi, would accept “pan” as a descriptor if someone brought it up (and would actually prefer it if it was adequately explained, he just doesn’t know it), solid 3.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?

It’s for fun, mostly. He recognizes Natirru feels differently about it and does respect that - he’s extremely emotionally affectionate with him in a way he isn’t with any other partner. That is important. The stuff on the side just for the sake of having a good time? Not that important. He’d stop if Natirru asked.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

The only thing of note is that if you ask pretty much any of his casual partners they’ll say he hates the slow, tender stuff. Natirru has a different story to tell. Also, he’s the only one who gets to play with the lekku. Hands off the head-tails, everyone else.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

Not applicable!

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?

Neither. He doesn’t give a damn about that kind of thing. Even being made mildly Force sensitive by Valkorion didn’t really change much of anything on that front.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

Not strictly defined as such. Mostly, his morality boils down to “don’t let my friends and family hurt”

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

He can be a little insensitive, but rarely does he mean to be. Unless we’re talking Jedi and their rules, because he’s seen that straight up break a guy.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

He was pretty biased against Imperials of all stripes, but he’s gotten better about that. He also has some internalized sexism that he’s been steadily working on. That’s a little slower going, since it runs counter to a lot of tiny, unspoken things he’d taken for granted.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

He has a lot more money than one would expect him to have, just to look at the way he lives. He doesn’t want all the trappings of wealth. A nice penthouse apartment is only as good as his ability to stash things in it is.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?

He went from a career criminal to leader of a whole new faction. He’s gotten a lot more considerate in his decision-making, though that has its roots far earlier, when a rash decision gravely wounded a friend. Ultimately, he’s left his old smuggling career behind, retaining the knowledge and skills he gained from it and hoping to put them to good use.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

Well, he preferred to live out of his ship, though he had a guest room in his friend’s apartment on Coruscant. Then he found himself in command of the Eternal Alliance, and Odessen became home. He used to hate having to share his living space with more than one person at a time, but now he doesn’t know what to do with himself when he’s all alone. He regularly takes a handful of people with him in his ship whenever he leaves Odessen, just for the company.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

Gambling, drinks, random amenities for Odessen, whatever he thinks is cool, gifts for friends. He’s kind of a hedonist, but also cares about his family and his people so there’s a lot to spend the excess on. Credits are about to be tighter though, with the factions being stupid and going to war again instead of pooling their resources to recover.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

As described by himself, in defining his identity: “Part-time smuggler, full-time Alliance Commander.” He got into smuggling not out of necessity, but out of thrillseeking. It was this zeal for adventure that kept him going, until Flow began to slowly break down. Gradually, Abric began to take on a leadership position, even once offering to go face down the Sith Emperor in Flow’s stead! (Funny how that one turned out.) On Rishi, Abric became the default leader of the legacy, assuming the role of the captain of the Red Hulls, and even when their cover was discarded, he still seemed to be the one the others looked up to - including the coalition formed by the Imperial and Republic forces on Yavin 4. It set the stage perfectly for his later role, and while he never saw himself in charge of a whole other faction, he took to it readily. He couldn’t imagine himself returning to the way things were, and will hold on fiercely to the Alliance.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

Partying, if there’s one to attend. Social drinking, dancing, karaoke, stupid space flight stunts. He’s also a fan of action-adventure holodramas and musicals of all kinds - the catchier the songs, the better. He will absolutely sing them in the shower.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

Well, I mentioned drinking at least twice so far, so there’s that. He used to eat out a lot, but then he got involved with someone who could cook exceptionally well. His diet is very good right now, thanks to Natirru.

Associations
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is his favorite:

1. Color? . His favorite color is light red - but his skin is light red, so he can’t wear it without it looking horrible. I associate him with orange for reasons I don’t really know.
2. Smell? Dust, sweat, grease. He’s a scavenger and pretty handy with doing things with that salvage too. Blaster burn is also an acceptable answer.
3. Time of day? He’s a fan of broad daylight, weirdly enough.
4. Season? Summer, he gets to wear his usual and feel perfectly comfortable.
5. Book? Don’t really have any info on this one.
6. Music? Something jazzy and upbeat that’s fun to dance to, really. As for association, Welshly Arms’ Wild and Sanctuary, with All The Way Up for its sound if not its lyrics (though those can fit him too)
7. Place? His ship. He will grudgingly admit that Odessen is his new favorite though.
8. Substance? I have no idea. Refer to the smell list for my best guess?
9. Plant? He doesn’t really care about plants. (He’s definitely one of those climbing vines)
10. Animal? He doesn’t have a favorite animal, but for association? He’s a ferret. If Star Wars has something that behaves like a ferret, it’s that.
